Posted in News1 year ago • Written by staffNo Comments

The Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office has received information that door-to-door solicitors are canvassing the county and recommends residents make sure solicitors are properly permitted for such sales. The Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office also reminds those who engage in door-to-door sales and/canvassing are required to obtain a permit issued by the sheriff of Pittsylvania County and/or his designee, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office. Individuals who do not comply with these requirements will be charged with soliciting without a permit, a misdemeanor punishable by one year in jail, a $2500 fine or both.
