About Us is the online home for the WHEE Network. The Network consists of three broadcast stations license to server the greater Martinsville, Virginia region.

WMVA-AM1450 is the newest addition, but is the oldest station in the Network. WMVA first signed on the air in 1941 and celebrates its 75th birthday this year. WMVA is a Westwood One News, CBS Sports Radio, Motor Racing Network (MRN), Virginia Tech, and UNC affiliate.

The group started with WHEE-AM1370 in November, 1997. WHEE began broadcasting in 1954. WHEE is a CBS Radio News and UVA affiliate. Programming includes America’s Morning News, Herman Cain, Clark Howard, Dave Ramsey, In the Garden with Andre Viette, Kim Komando, Mayo Clinic Radio, Face the Nation, Meet the Press, and the CBS Weekend Edition. Locally, the weekday programs “Coffee Break” and “Classifieds” originates from WHEE’s studios and are simulcast on WMVA and WYAT.

WYAT-TV was founded in 1999 and began broadcasting from Martinsville in 2003. WYAT is an affiliate of THIStv.
